Nature Art Workshop: Enhancing Your Learning Journey at SCAD Hong Kong

Welcome to the Nature Art Workshop, a supplementary course designed by the distinguished artist and educator Michael Andrew Law for students of the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Hong Kong. This course is dedicated to supplementing and strengthening the various information that you may feel is overlooked or inadequately explained in class, including case studies of artists’ studio practices, background information on art history, material information, and practical production and creation techniques.

Course Features

At the Nature Art Workshop, we believe that every student owns a unique artistic vision and creative ability. Our goal is to guide students to find their artistic language and further experience and develop their artistic talents by supplementing the information that may be overlooked or inadequately explained at SCAD Hong Kong.

What You Will Learn

• Artists’ Studio Practice Case Studies: Students will have the opportunity to understand how artists apply their knowledge and skills in actual work through real case studies. This not only helps students understand the application of theory in practical work but also stimulates their innovative thinking.

• Art History Background: We will delve into art history, allowing students to better understand different art styles and movements and understand how these styles influence today’s art creation.

• Material Information: We will introduce various art creation materials, helping students understand the characteristics and uses of these materials, thereby better selecting and using them.

• Practical Production and Creative Techniques: Through hands-on exercises, students can learn various practical creative techniques and enhance their artistic abilities in actual operations.

About Instructor Michael Andrew Law

Michael Andrew Law is an experienced artist and educator. His works are highly acclaimed internationally and have been exhibited in various exhibitions. His goal is to help students find their path in art and continually progress and grow on this path.
