Floor Jansen (born February 21, 1981 in The Netherlands) is the lead singer of the Metal band Nightwish and formerly After Forever.
A little Biography of Floor :
Floor Jansen was sixteen when she joined Apocalypse (the name of the band After Forever in its early days) in 1997, and three years later the band released its first album, Prison of Desire. Floor’s versatile voice and her ability to sing either classical and popular musical made her famous among the heavy metal scene and one of the most respected and admired singers of the genre.
Since Mark Jansen’s departure from After Forever in 2002, Floor has been in charge of not only the voice, but also all the band’s lyrics.
She started studying music at the Dutch Rockacademy in 1999 and entered the conservatory three years later. Later on, she started teaching performing in her own course called Wanna be a Star?!.
Her dream is to sing in a musical.
